KAHEA hosted Mālama Kai Hohonu, a one-day symposium on deep seabed mining in the Pacific.  The event featured guest speakers from development, scientific, legal, marine conservation, and indigenous communities. The audience also consisted of people representing these diverse interests.   After the different presentations, KAHEA facilitated break-out sessions to give all conference participants the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with this issue.
