Host a Screening

Mauna a Wakea

Seeking volunteers! We're seeking interested folks to host a family or community screening of the powerful documentary on Mauna Kea: Temple Under Siege.

So far, we have had screenings from Honolulu to Berkeley and Los Angeles! (See pictures and write up of our Honolulu screening at Na Mea Hawai`i.)

This documentary by Na Maka o ka `Āina "paints a portrait of a mountain that has become a symbol of the Hawaiian struggle for physical, cultural and political survival."  To purchase a copy or to support the efforts of Na Maka o ka `Āina, see their website or call them at (808) 929-9659.

You can learn more about the efforts of KAHEA the Mauna Kea Hui to secure a better future for Hawai`i's sacred summits.

Mauna Kea `Anainahou has copies of this film to lend  for community viewings and house parties (grassroots Netflix!), if you would like to view or share. For more information, contact Shelley Muneoka at shelley@kahea.org or (877) 585-2432 (toll-free, all islands.)

Preview trailer below made available by Asia Pacific Films:

Mahalo to our generous `ohana of KAHEA donors, Hawai`i People's Fund and Seventh Generation Fund for making this video lending project possible.
