Please mark your calendars and save Thursday morning June 30th for a rally at the State Capitol.  That morning the Land Use Commission (LUC) will consider allowing D.R. Horton's application to permanently cover over 1500 acres of the best remaining farmland in the State, with 12,000 houses.  If it is your intent to come, or to become more involved in this vital campaign for our shared future, please fill our our Contact form and tiny survey at http://www.saveoahufarmlands.org/contact/.

A strong turnout for this event will help turn the tide, so it is urgent that you come if you believe that we've lost enough farmland to urban sprawl on the Ewa plain.  This is land that can be harvested 4 times a year, and is critical for the food security of current and future generations on O'ahu.

We will hold a sign painting party this coming Saturday, June 18th, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the League of Women Voters at 49 S. Hotel Street, Room 314, on the southeast (makai - Kokohead) corner of Bethel.  Bring food (snacks) and/or lunch available in Chinatown nearby.  Best closest parking is at Chinatown Gateway on Bethel, mauka (mountain) side of King Street on the left.  Walk down Bethel to Hotel Street, turn left on Hotel to 49 in the middle of the block.  Room #314.
We'll hold a sign making party in Makakilo the following Saturday, June 25th, from 10-2 at Kioni Dudley's home, 92-1365 Hauone Street.  Go up Makakilo Drive until it levels out and crests.  Just over the crest take the first left then a quick right onto Hauone Street.  His is the house at the end of the street on the right.
