Free Climate Change Camp with the Hawaii Nature Center Next Week, response needed ASAP
Enroll now for the Hawai'i Nature Center's Climate Change Camp, a hands-on science and culture-based camp for middle school students. This camp is sponsored by National Oceanic & Atmospheric Agency (NOAA), Bay Watershed Education & Training (B-WET) and is designed to engage students in math & science while they learn about climate change through watershed education. Outdoor activities will include forest hikes, coastal investigations, and wetland explorations. Students will also take part in creating a public service announcement on the local impact of climate change.
What: FREE 5-day intersession camp for students grades 6 thru 9.
When: Spring Break: March 14 - 18, 2011, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Where: Students will meet at the Hawai'i Nature
Center - 2131 Makiki Heights Dr. - just minutes from downtown Honolulu. The program will take place in several locations and include forest, wetland, &
coastal exploration.
